Celebrating Life’s Journey

Another Sunday and it’s been a very full week with numerous life events including my sick dog, an interview, educational conference at Mayo, a car accident,  a close friend carrying a heavy burden and a note from another dear friend that I am choosing to share.  I met Sherry less than 5 months ago but somehow sharing our stories it seems like we’ve been friends for ages and that’s how it has been for me the past 2 years on this journey. Reflections: A Play & A Drum

What a wonderful Sunday, as I reflect on my past week I had the gift of theater from my dear friend Susan.  She was unable to make the play “A Color Purple” at the Ordway last Wednesday and so she gifted me her tickets at the last minute.  What a fabulous opportunity, I treated myself to dinner and then headed downtown to the Ordway, five rows from the stage and right in the center on the main floor.  I loved the book A Color Purple by Alice Walker, Steven Spielberg’s movie is a favorite and of course I have heard great reviews about the play presented on Broadway by Oprah Winfrey so needless to say I was NOT disappointed.  The acting, music and dancing was...
