                                         Â

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing. Administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of healing as well as being happy and healthy.Â
Benefits of Reiki & Healing Energy Work include:
-
Reduced Stress
-
Calming of Anxiety and Depression
-
Decreased Pain
-
Strengthening of the Immune System
-
Creates a Sense of Well-Being and
-
Eases Acute and Chronic Conditions
Shamanic Ceremony
For those that may not be familiar with shamanism a definition from my mentor and friend Lee Hilfiker’s website www.Sacredway.net  follows: Shamanism is a spiritual practice and a healing tradition estimated to be more than 40,000 years old. The shaman incorporates their healing knowledge and spirit into the modern world, restoring balance and harmony to ourselves, our communities and or planet as a whole.  There are many other detailed definitions that focus on shamans as working through spirit using drumming as a method to journey and connect to the spirit world, I leave you to your own research and beliefs but should you have questions please contact me. Â

House Blessing & Clearing Ceremony
“Mary facilitated a very simple and lovely ceremony to bless the house that my partner was selling in Edina. I was pleased with how she customized the experience to align with our comfort and encouraged us to participate to the degree that was meaningful to us. Mary’s easy presence and gentle confidence brought depth to the experience of blessing the house for the new owners.”Â

Despacho Ceremony ~ A Ceremony for Gratitude, Abundance, & Resetting
Despachos are offerings that bring healing, blessings and all types of abundance. They are a feast of sorts, made of various items including dried fruits, grains, legumes, candies, flowers, and red and white wine or juice. When complete, a despacho is a beautiful work of art. One that’s alive with energy and filled with much love. Despachos are the ancient healing art of the Incas and create vortexes of spiritual energy that help manifest wishes or prayers of all sorts.

It’s often been said that to become a healer those that follow the Shamans path learn from their own healing journey, we have to walk the path of healing our own wounds to empathize and be able to bring healing ceremony to others. The following YouTube video does a wonderful job of defining this point of view.Â
The Wounded Healer             ©2009 Humanity Healing. Partial Rights ReservedÂ
In Greek myths, Chiron was the wisest of the Centaurs and the archetype of the Wounded Healer
Chiron was accidentally wounded by an arrow that had been dipped in the blood of the HydraÂ
In his search for his own cure, he discovered how to heal others
In teaching others the healing arts, he found a measure of solace from his own pain
The Wounded Healer understands what the patient feels because he has gone through the same painÂ
The suffering patient can be cared for by the Healer and be instrumental in the Healers own healing
Each encounter between Healer and patient can be transforming for bothÂ
The lesson of Chiron teaches us is that we can overcome pain and transcend into knowledge
That each of us can become a Wounded Healer
